ALTERNATIVES

The BlogBurst alternative for founders on a founder budget

BlogBurst is a managed service with a $500 pilot. AutoTraction is software you run yourself for $19 a month.

These two products are sold in different ways, and that is the main thing to understand before comparing features. One is an engagement with people who do work for you. The other is software that runs on a schedule. Everything about BlogBurst below comes from its own site.

What BlogBurst is

BlogBurst describes itself as "Managed Search and AI Visibility". The method on its site: diagnose the gaps where search results and AI answers leave your business out, build a prioritised remediation queue, publish evidence-backed work against that queue, then rerun the checks and track what changed.

The channels it names are search pages, founder social posts, community replies on Reddit, Hacker News, X and Bluesky, owned blog content, and lifecycle follow-up messages. Its site emphasises approved implementation authority and quality gates before delivery. Whether anything publishes automatically is not stated.

Pricing is an engagement rather than a plan: a paid pilot at $500 for 30 days covering one website and one target market, with a bounded remediation plan and a final evidence review, then ongoing scope typically $500 to $1,500 a month if the pilot proves useful. The site says it assesses fit and provides a scope and baseline before asking for payment. There are three free tools: an AI post generator that produces one draft, a website readiness scanner and a social media calendar planner, with free previews rate-limited.

Where it stops

Nothing about BlogBurst is thin. The honest gap is price and shape. $500 for a pilot and $500 to $1,500 a month is an agency-sized budget. A founder who has not made revenue yet usually cannot justify that, and the value on offer is mostly search and AI answer visibility, which is a slow channel by nature. You will not learn in 30 days whether it worked.

A managed service also moves at the speed of people. That is often a strength, and it means the work arrives in batches rather than daily.

What AutoTraction does instead

AutoTraction is self-serve software, from $19 a month, that runs daily. You enter your website. It reads the product, works out your audience and voice, and then generates video with voiceover, six-slide carousels and founder posts, publishing them to TikTok, Instagram, LinkedIn, X and Facebook through official APIs every day. It sources leads weekly and writes to them by email and on LinkedIn from your own accounts. It finds threads on Reddit, X and LinkedIn and drafts replies for you to paste, never posting a reply itself. It writes press releases and pitches journalists who covered your subject this month. It runs Meta and TikTok ads under a cap you set. It watches which posts bring signups rather than views.

What it does not do is SEO. No blog writing, no remediation queue, no tracking of whether AI answers cite you. If that is your priority, we are the wrong product, and BlogBurst is aimed exactly at it.

When BlogBurst is the better choice

If search is your channel, BlogBurst is the better buy and it is not close. Diagnosing why you are invisible in search results and AI answers, then working a prioritised queue with evidence and rechecks, is a discipline. We do none of it.

It is also better if you want people rather than software. A managed engagement means someone is accountable for the result, judges what to publish and can tell you when your positioning is the actual problem. Software cannot do that part.

It also fits a company with revenue and a budget line. At $500 to $1,500 a month you are buying a service, which is worth it when a customer is worth enough.

Who should switch

Founders who want daily output at a founder price. $19 a month against a $500 pilot is a different kind of decision, and if you are pre-revenue the cheaper one lets you find out whether marketing moves your numbers before you commit a budget.

And founders whose customers are not searching. Search works when people already know they have your problem and are looking for a solution. For a new consumer app, or a product in a category people do not search for yet, feeds, threads and press do more. The head-to-head page sets the two out side by side, and how to pitch journalists as a solo founder covers the channel search cannot replace.

What does BlogBurst cost?

Its site lists a paid pilot at $500 for 30 days, then ongoing scope typically between $500 and $1,500 a month. It also offers three free tools with rate-limited previews.

Does AutoTraction do SEO?

No. It does not write your blog, work a search remediation queue or track AI answer citations. BlogBurst does, and that is the clearest reason to pick it over us.

Is AutoTraction a service or software?

Software. You approve, it runs, and the founder's share of the work is about four minutes a day. Nobody is assigned to your account.
