The ReplyGuy alternative that drafts, and lets you post

ReplyGuy and AutoTraction both start in the same place: somebody on Reddit or X is describing the problem your product solves, and you want to be in that conversation. What happens next is where the two products split, and it is not a small split. Everything about ReplyGuy below comes from its own site.

What ReplyGuy is

ReplyGuy describes itself as "The AI that finds the best places to mention your product online". It tracks your keywords and surfaces mentions, and it covers Reddit and X.

On Reddit it posts automatically, using accounts ReplyGuy provides rather than your own. On X the site says it "helps you find the best places to reply and suggest what to say, but it's up to you to edit and post". So half the product is a drafting tool and half is a posting bot.

Its published plans: Small at $10 a month with 5 keywords, 20 replies a month and 1 project. Analyst at $39 a month with 20 keywords and 5 projects, and no auto-replies, so monitoring only. Pro at $49 a month with 5 keywords and 100 replies a month. Business at $99 a month with 25 keywords, 300 replies a month and 5 projects. Enterprise at $199 a month with 100 keywords, 1,000 replies a month and unlimited projects. Yearly prices run $59, $199, $249, $499 and $999. There is a three day trial, and refunds within seven days if the product is unused.

The part worth thinking about

Reviewers and competing tools report that fully automated replies get caught by Reddit's spam filters, and that accounts running them get comments removed, shadowbans and suspensions. We have not tested that and are not stating it as fact. It is worth reading a few reviews before you buy any auto-posting tool.

What we can say is structural. If a tool posts from accounts it supplies, the karma, the history and the credibility belong to those accounts, not to you. When the reply comes from your own account, you are building something that accumulates.

What AutoTraction does instead

AutoTraction finds the threads on Reddit, X and LinkedIn where people are asking for what you built, and drafts the reply in your voice. You read it, change what you want, and paste it. It never posts a reply for you. The home page is blunt about why: posting goes through official APIs at human pace, replies are posted by you, and nothing sprays comments at scale.

Replies are also one part of a larger job. AutoTraction generates video with voiceover, six-slide carousels and founder posts and publishes them daily to TikTok, Instagram, LinkedIn, X and Facebook. It sources leads and writes to them by email and on LinkedIn from your own accounts. It writes press releases and pitches journalists. It runs ads on Meta and TikTok under a cap you set. Founder time is about four minutes a day.

When ReplyGuy is the better choice

Three cases, and they are real.

You want volume and you have decided the risk is acceptable. Enterprise at $199 a month covers 1,000 replies a month. AutoTraction will never produce that number, because a human being has to paste each one. If your plan is to be mentioned in as many threads as possible, ReplyGuy is built for that and we are not.

You want monitoring only, cheaply, across many products. The Analyst plan at $39 a month gives 20 keywords across 5 projects with no auto-replies. If you run several products and only want to know when your keywords come up, that is a focused purchase.

You are not ready to pay for a whole platform. Small at $10 a month is less than our Solo plan at $19, and if replies are the only thing you want, the cheaper tool is the cheaper tool.

Who should switch

Founders whose main account is the asset. If you are building a personal following on X, or you are known in two subreddits and want to stay welcome in them, you do not want an AI posting under your name or under a rented one. Draft-and-paste is slower and it is the version that still works in six months.

Does AutoTraction post replies automatically?

No. It finds the threads and writes the draft. You paste it from your own account. That is a deliberate limit, not a feature we have not built yet.

Is ReplyGuy cheaper?

Its entry plan is, at $10 a month against $19 for AutoTraction Solo. Its Pro, Business and Enterprise plans at $49, $99 and $199 a month sit alongside our $39, $99 and $249 plans, which also include content, posting, outreach, press and ads.

How many replies a day can I realistically paste?

AutoTraction is built around about four minutes a day in total, which covers a few approvals and the conversations worth answering yourself. If you need hundreds of replies a month, an auto-posting tool is the honest answer.
