ALTERNATIVES

The HeyCatch alternative, for founders who also need outbound

HeyCatch and AutoTraction use the same two words about themselves and chase the same first 100 users. The difference is how far past organic each one goes.

HeyCatch is the closest match in positioning we have found. It calls itself an AI marketing co-founder. So do we. It is aimed at solo founders reaching their first 100 paying users. So are we. The two part company on outbound, press and ads. Everything about HeyCatch below comes from its own site.

What HeyCatch is

The headline: "You built it. Now let's get you users." Its meta description reads "Your AI marketing co-founder: audits your product, runs daily growth moves across every channel, and tracks what works to get your first 100 users." The FAQ is blunter: "HeyCatch replaces the early marketing hire for founders going from zero to their first 100 paying users and $1k MRR without paid ads."

The product is a daily roadmap. It starts with a product audit, an ICP and competitor map, a 30-day plan and your analytics set up. From day two it ships moves across landing page copy, SEO and GEO content, onboarding emails, app store listing and distribution. Its five areas are Daily Distribution, Viral Content, Analytics and Improvement, Audience and Market Intelligence, and a Dynamic Roadmap that reshuffles weekly.

Distribution is Reddit, X, LinkedIn and Facebook groups, with warm-up handled and replies drafted. Viral Content turns trending formats into TikTok, Reels and Shorts posts. The model is review-and-publish: "For anything posted from your personal accounts (Reddit, X, Instagram, TikTok), HeyCatch drafts the content and you approve before it ships."

Where it stops

Organic, deliberately. One of its three stated principles is "Organic first. Not a paid ads agent." So there are no ads, and it says so rather than hiding it. There is also no lead sourcing, no cold email and no LinkedIn outreach anywhere on the page. The emails it mentions are onboarding emails to people who already signed up. No press releases and no journalist pitches. If your buyers have to be found and written to one by one, HeyCatch is not built for that.

What AutoTraction does instead

Enter your website. It reads your product, works out who it is for and how you sound, and drafts your positioning. It then generates videos with voiceover, six-slide carousels and founder posts, and publishes them daily to TikTok, Instagram, LinkedIn, X and Facebook through official APIs, on accounts you already own.

Past that it does the parts HeyCatch leaves alone. It sources leads every week and writes to them by email and on LinkedIn from your own inbox, following up until they answer. It writes your press release and pitches the journalists who would care. It runs Meta and TikTok ads, keeps the winner and kills the rest, under your cap. If you are raising, it writes the first note to investors.

When HeyCatch is the better choice

On parts of the job it is ahead of us, and one of those parts is large.

Your funnel is the problem, not your reach. HeyCatch instruments the whole path from content click to purchase, across landing page, app store listing, onboarding and paywall, then ships fixes where people drop off. We do not. We grade your landing page and watch which posts convert, and that is the extent of it. If traffic arrives and does not convert, buy the product pointed at that.

You want SEO, GEO and app store work. All three are on its list and none are on ours.

You do not want ads or outbound. Some founders are building consumer apps where cold email is pointless and paid spend is premature. HeyCatch is designed for exactly that founder and says so. Half of what we charge for would sit unused.

You want an opinionated plan more than a running machine. Its pitch is a growth lead who tells you what to do next and hands you the drafts. If what you lack is judgment rather than hours, that is the right shape.

Pricing, side by side

HeyCatchAutoTraction
Entry$19.95 for a 2-week intro periodSolo, $19 a month
Other intro periods$29.95 for 4 weeks, $49.95 for 8 weeks, first period only$39, $99 and $249 a month
Renewal priceNot published. "The standard price shown at checkout"Same price every month, published
CancellingAnytime, no fee, refund if a period was charged and never usedCancel any time

The intro figures undercut our Solo plan on the way in. What they renew at is the number we cannot give you, because the site does not carry it. Worth knowing before you enter a card, not a mark against the product. Our four are on the pricing page and do not change after month one. The site grader is free, the head-to-head is AutoTraction vs HeyCatch, and the nearest rival on channels is Promote.chat. If you shipped with Lovable, Cursor or Bolt, how to get your first 100 users covers the same ground with nothing to buy.

Are they the same product with different names?

No. The overlap is content, distribution on Reddit, X and LinkedIn, and the review-then-publish model. HeyCatch goes deeper on the funnel, analytics, SEO and app store. We go wider: lead sourcing, cold email, LinkedIn outreach, press pitches, ads and investor outreach.

What does HeyCatch cost after the intro period?

It is not published on the site. The FAQ says plans renew at the standard price shown at checkout. The intro periods are $19.95 for two weeks, $29.95 for four and $49.95 for eight.

Will either one get my accounts banned?

Both answer no, for the same reason. HeyCatch says anything posted from your personal accounts goes through your one-click approval. AutoTraction posts through official APIs at human pace, and replies in other people's threads are pasted by you.
