The Hypefury alternative for founders, not full-time creators
Hypefury is built to grow an audience. AutoTraction is built to get a product its first customers. Those are different jobs.
Hypefury has a loyal following among people who post for a living. If you are a founder who ships code and would rather not become a content creator, the fit is worth checking carefully before you subscribe. Everything about Hypefury below comes from its own site.
What Hypefury is
Hypefury calls itself "social media scheduling and automation for creators". The pricing page lists Bluesky, Threads, LinkedIn, Instagram and TikTok as the supported channels, and states plainly that Hypefury no longer supports X. That is a significant change for a tool that built its reputation on Twitter growth, and it is the first thing to check if X was your reason for looking at it.
Its automation is creator-shaped: autoplugs, which add a promotional comment under a post that performs, auto-DM campaigns on Instagram, tweetshots, recurring posts, an engagement builder and content repurposing across formats. The Full plan adds an AI trained on your own posts.
Pricing: Flexible at $6 a month covers one channel, with additional channels at $6 a month each. Full at $19 a month includes all channels at no extra cost, unlimited scheduling, five tweetshots a day and the unified content history. There is a seven day free trial with no credit card required.
Where it stops
Hypefury automates distributing and recycling content you have written. It does not write it. If you already produce a steady stream of posts and want them scheduled, repurposed and plugged, it is a well-made tool. If you have a product, no audience and nothing written, the empty editor is the problem and the automation sits idle.
The other gap is everything that is not social. No cold email, no lead sourcing, no press, no ads. For a creator monetising an audience that is fine, because the audience is the business. For a founder selling software, social is one channel among several, and usually not the first one that produces a paying customer.
What AutoTraction does instead
AutoTraction starts from your website rather than from your writing. It reads your product, works out the audience and the voice, and produces the content itself: video with voiceover, filmed, edited and captioned, six-slide carousels, and founder posts. It publishes them daily to TikTok, Instagram, LinkedIn, X and Facebook through official APIs on the accounts you already own. X is included.
Beyond content it sources leads weekly and writes to them by email and on LinkedIn from your own accounts, finds threads on Reddit, X and LinkedIn and drafts replies for you to paste, writes press releases and pitches journalists, runs Meta and TikTok ads under a cap you set, and tracks which posts bring signups rather than views. About four minutes a day from you.

When Hypefury is the better choice
If you are a creator, this is not close. Hypefury is built for the person whose product is their posting: the newsletter owner, the course seller, the audience-first builder. Autoplugs, tweetshots and recycling a top post into four formats are exactly the mechanics that compound for that person, and we do none of them.
It is also better if you want a very cheap single channel. Flexible at $6 a month for one channel is a third of our entry price, and if the one channel is Instagram or LinkedIn and you write your own posts, that is a sensible purchase.
And if Instagram auto-DM campaigns are a channel that works for you, Hypefury offers them and we do not.
Who should switch
Founders who came to Hypefury for X. The site now says X is not supported, and for a lot of technical founders X is the only social channel that ever produced a signup. AutoTraction posts to X, and drafts replies to X threads for you to paste.
And founders who do not want to become creators. If the honest version of your plan is "I will post consistently for six months and build an audience", a scheduler assumes a discipline you may not have. Content that is generated for you, posted for you and measured against signups asks for four minutes a day instead. What X's ranking code actually weights is worth reading either way.

Does Hypefury still support X?
Its pricing page states that Hypefury no longer supports X. The channels listed there are Bluesky, Threads, LinkedIn, Instagram and TikTok.
Does AutoTraction do auto-DMs?
No. It sends outreach by email and on LinkedIn from your own accounts, and it drafts thread replies for you to paste. It does not run automated DM campaigns on Instagram.
Which is cheaper?
Hypefury Flexible is $6 a month for one channel. Its Full plan and AutoTraction Solo are both $19 a month, but Hypefury schedules what you write and AutoTraction produces the content and runs outreach, press and ads as well.
