AutoTraction vs Promote.chat

Two products for the same founder. One is a chat box covering organic and search. The other is six agents covering content, publishing, outreach, press and ads.

The verdict first. Buy Promote.chat if the outcome you want is search: ranking articles, keyword coverage, and being the tool ChatGPT or Claude names when someone asks. Buy AutoTraction if you want a marketing function running daily across five social networks, your inbox and your ad accounts. On Reddit, X and LinkedIn they genuinely overlap, and there the question is who presses publish. All Promote.chat detail below is from its own site.

How they differ in one paragraph

Promote.chat calls itself an "Autonomous AI Marketing Agent for Vibe-Coded Products" and works through a chat interface. Its four live capabilities are Social Mentions on Reddit, X and LinkedIn, a Content Engine for SEO articles and social posts, SEO and GEO work, and landing page audits. AutoTraction starts from your website URL, then writes voiceover video, six-slide carousels and founder posts, publishes daily to five networks, sources leads weekly, writes to them by email and LinkedIn, drafts your replies, pitches journalists and runs Meta and TikTok ads.

Check which feature list you are buying

Promote.chat's meta description says it "runs Reddit, X, LinkedIn, Google Ads, SEO, UGC video and cold email campaigns". Its home page files three of those under a heading called "Upcoming Agent Skills": short-form AI UGC video, cold email automation, and a paid ads engine for Google Ads. Its FAQ agrees: "Currently, we support organic engagement on Reddit, X (Twitter), and LinkedIn, alongside on-page SEO auditing and AI search engine visibility (GEO)."

Directories and search snippets quote the wider line. The body copy is the careful one. The roadmap may well ship. It has not yet.

Who presses publish

This is the difference that outlasts any feature list. Promote.chat's Social Mentions "Drafts and posts tailored comments on your behalf", the Individual plan lists "Draft & Semi-Autonomous Posting Modes", the Agency plan lists "Fully Autonomous Multi-Channel Execution", and the FAQ describes switching to fully autonomous "once you trust the output". AutoTraction never does that. Replies on Reddit and X and comments on LinkedIn are drafted for you to paste, and posts go through official APIs at human pace. Neither model is careless. Theirs treats your attention as the bottleneck. Ours treats a ten-year-old Reddit account as an asset you do not hand to software.

The credit pools are not comparable. A credit buying an SEO article is not a credit buying a voiceover video.

Choose Promote.chat if

  • Search is the goal. Keyword analysis, ranking content, Domain Rating work and getting cited in ChatGPT, Gemini and Claude are its core, and we claim none of it.
  • You want the agent posting comments itself. Semi-autonomous and fully autonomous modes are real features, and we will never offer them.
  • You manage several products or clients. Agency buys unlimited websites and team seats.
  • You want to test before paying. Its FAQ says you can start completely free.

Choose AutoTraction if

  • You need the content made, not just the thread found. Voiceover video, six-slide carousels and founder posts, built from your product.
  • Your audience is on TikTok, Instagram or Facebook. None are on Promote.chat's current list.
  • Your buyers have to be found and written to. Leads sourced weekly, then email and LinkedIn from your own inbox until they answer.
  • You want press and ads in the same product.
  • You want your accounts to stay yours. Official APIs, replies pasted by you, nothing sprayed at scale.

The honest summary

These two are closer than any other pair on this site and still answer different questions. Promote.chat is strongest where a search engine or a language model decides whether you exist. AutoTraction is strongest where a person scrolling or reading their inbox decides. Buy for the half of the problem you have not solved.

The longer write-up is on the Promote.chat alternative page. Our plans are on the pricing page, the site grader is free, and HeyCatch is the other product using the words marketing co-founder. Before letting anything post on Reddit for you, read the rules by subreddit.

Which one is cheaper?

AutoTraction at entry, $19 a month against $29.99. Promote.chat has a free tier and far bigger credit pools, and its $499 Agency plan has no equivalent here. Compare on the work you need done, not the credit counts.

Does Promote.chat post to TikTok or Instagram?

Not on its published list. Its FAQ names Reddit, X and LinkedIn for organic engagement, plus on-page SEO and AI search visibility. Short-form video is listed as an upcoming skill.

Is fully autonomous posting risky?

It depends on the platform. Promote.chat says you can stay in draft mode and approve everything, which removes the question. We do not offer the autonomous option at all, so nothing posts under your name that you have not read.
